The primary outcome of the VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is to prepare you to enter the specific sector of education and training as a vocational assessor. All the units in this qualification relate directly to the specific job role of vocational assessor.

This course is self paced and includes a minimum of 2 days class work that can be modified to suit student time constraints. Course work is by way of home research, assignments, live class participation in the areas of both theory and practical assessment. All assessment is logged within a portfolio which is collated and marked by your tutor. Ongoing tutor support is given throughout.  

This is a very informative and enjoyable class for those looking to move onto a career in teaching in all training environments. You will require to be qualified in the subject area you wish to teach, giving you the skills required for assessing your student learners.  This course follows on from our certificate in Education and training. You will be expected to give a small micro teaching session as this forms part of your course.

Our tutors have a high level of experience within the Complimentary and Holistic field both in education and industry and will teach you to the same standards as found in higher education.  This coupled with your input will allow you to progress to a level expected for certification.

You will complete the following units

  • Understanding the principles and practices of assessment

  • Assess occupational competence in the work environment

  • Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding

  

How you will be assessed?

Theory assessment is through ongoing assignments some of which is done as online student portal. Practical observation takes place at the Academy, however part of ongoing practical will be completed as distance learning. All evidence is collated by way of a student portfolio which your tutor has access too. Ongoing support will be given throughout the duration of the course. This course is also suitable for both live class and distance learners. For those learners who do not have access to computers can submit by paper form. Please enquire for details.

 

Entry Requirements

  • Students should be 16 years and over

  • Student should posses a good command of English

  • Student should have a satisfactory level of education

 

Duration

  • 2 days live class within 4 weeks – 10am - 5pm

  • Ongoing home study 4 weeks duration

  • End Test
