The course runs over 14 weeks duration (3 days class instruction) and can be modified due to student time constraints. Course work is by way of live class participation for both theory and practical assessment. There is an aspect of online activity which allows students to study and participate at their own pace. All assessment is logged within a portfolio which is collated and marked by your tutor. Ongoing tutor support is given throughout.  

The practical aspect will be taught in class over 3 days. However, students are required to carry out 6 on-going case studies which are carried out at the ESA clinic on clients under observation. Days will be dependent on client availability. Case studies will be comprehensive by way of consultation which form an important aspect of the case studies, where full evaluation and self-reflection are discussed. On-going tutor support and instruction will be given.

Ultrasound is a form of skin lifting which uses frequencies which pinpoints and creates acoustic coagulation on various skin and tissue depths. This creates new collagen giving a lifting effect to the facial and body contours whilst slowing down signs of aging. Effects are fast acting and as little as 4 treatments will show improvement to fine lines and wrinkles. There are various forms of Ultrasound, some of which can also break down fat.

Ultrasound forms part of the new Level 4 non-Aesthetic treatments. It has been developed as part of the initiative to drive beauty therapy qualifications to a high standard to ensure safe systems of work that meets health and safety standards.

Our tutors have a high level of experience within the Beauty field both in education and industry and will teach you to the same standards as found in higher education.  This coupled with your input will allow you to progress to a level expected for certification.
