The VTCT Level 2 Award in Wax Depilation is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in; how to remove hair using waxing techniques.
Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety practice in a salon environment, client care and communication in beauty related industries. You will also develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification.
The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in beauty therapy to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to perform your own salon services.

The course runs over 2 weeks, 2 days of which are class time and can be modified due to student time constraints. Course work is by way of live class participation for both theory and practical assessment. There is an aspect of online activity which allows students to study and participate at their own pace. All assessment is logged within a portfolio which is collated and marked by your tutor. Ongoing tutor support is given throughout.
This level 3 course is short but comprehensive enough to give you the knowledge and skills required for employment. Here you will be taken through the correct procedures and protocols for carrying waxing to those difficult to wax area at the bikini area. Methods of waxing are the Hollywood, Brazilian, shaping and playboy on the female area. This course will give you access to level 3 electrical epilation, and level 4 Intense pulse light for hair removal. A very popular course which will give you that added extra skill which is highly sought by employers and clients alike.
Our tutors have a, high level experience within the beauty field both in education and industry and will teach you to the same standards as found in higher education. This coupled with your input will allow you to progress to a level expected for certification.

How you will be assessed?
Theory assessment is through ongoing assignments some of which is done as online student portal. Practical observation takes place at the school, however part of ongoing practical will be completed as distance learning. All evidence is collated by way of a student portfolio which your tutor has access too. Ongoing support will be given throughout the duration of the course. This course is also suitable for both live class and distance learners. For those learners who do not have access to computers can submit by paper form. Please enquire for details.
