The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology for Complementary Therapies is a knowledge-based qualification which will provide you with a sound foundation to pursue a career as a complementary therapist.
This qualification will develop your knowledge and understanding of the organisation of the body, and the structure, function and pathologies of the skin, hair and nails.
You will also learn about the structure, function and pathologies of the human body systems including, the skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, urinary and reproductive system.

The course runs for 16 weeks. All assessment is logged within a portfolio which is collated and marked by your tutor. Ongoing tutor support is given throughout.
Live class runs over 6 days, which is taught in class and/or over Zoom.
By working over 16 weeks, you will be able to study at your leisure, however assignments will be given deadlines for which to work towards. This course has been specifically put together for those who have the basic knowledge in Anatomy but want to increase their level of knowledge, in order to give them a more in depth understanding of the body systems specifically with pathological conditions and how best to adapt their client needs. This level of understanding will greatly enhance those working either in the therapeutic, sports or clinic settings. Many employers look for this level of understanding from their therapists as it increases their overall skill set.
The body systems, tissue and muscle are all important aspects to consider when carrying out treatments whether they be of a therapeutic or of a clinical nature.
Our tutors have a, high level experience within the beauty field both in education and industry and will teach you to the same standards as found in higher education. This coupled with your input will allow you to progress to a level expected for certification.

How you will be assessed?
Theory assessment is through ongoing assignments some of which is done as online student portal. All evidence is collated via a student portfolio which your tutor has access too. Ongoing support will be given throughout the duration of the course. This course is suitable distance learners. Those learners who do not have access to computers can submit by paper form.
