The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Studies is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a beauty therapist. This qualification is designed for learners aged 16 years or over and will support you to gain employment as a beauty therapist, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role. Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 2 qualification in Beauty Therapy and/or a successful skills test and interview.
This qualification includes all the required elements to work effectively as a beauty therapist including: providing body massage, face and body electrotherapy, health and safety and client care.
You will also have the opportunity to develop your understanding and skills further by selecting a number of optional units which include: massage with pre-blended oils, electrical epilation, individual permanent lashes, intimate waxing, self tanning, nail enhancements, Indian head massage, micro dermabrasion and stone therapy. The structure of this qualification provides you with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required for a career as a beauty therapist.
Throughout this qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, client care and beauty therapy products and equipment. You will also develop a range of technical skills enabling you to prepare the skin and apply a variety of beauty therapy products and electrical equipment using different techniques. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.

This course for those who have completed our Level 2 Beauty Therapy course, looking to increase their skills and knowledge to allow them to follow a career in the spa area, health clubs, cruise liners, the hotel industry and of course salons and clinics. This course is specifically beneficial for those who may wish to further enrol onto higher levels of study onto to our level 4/5 programmes with many required for the aesthetic industry.
This is a fast track, quicker than a full time education at your local college, for a similar programme of Beauty Therapy. You can choose to pace your course at either 12 weeks duration 2 days per week, or 2 evenings per week for 20 weeks. Modification to the duration may be possible due to time constraints. Course work is delivered by live class participation for both theory and practical assessment. There is an aspect of online activity which allows students to study and participate at their own pace. Like the level 2 class all assessment is logged within a portfolio which is collated and marked by your tutor. On going tutor support is given throughout the duration of the course. This is a relatively fast paced course which is enjoyable as it offers those treatments found in various settings within the beauty and complimentary industry.
Our tutors have valuable experience both in education and industry and will teach you to the same standards as found in higher education. This, coupled with your input, will allow you to progress to a level expected for certification. Part of the course allows for live clinic participation giving you the confidence to work within industry.

How you will be assessed?
Theory assessment is through ongoing assignments some of which can be done online. Practical assessment takes place at the academy. All evidence is collated by way of a student portfolio which your tutor has access too. Ongoing support will be given throughout the duration of the course. Deposit is £200, deductible from the Total Course Fee amount.

Course payments must be made in full before awarding the certificate can be fulfilled.
