The course runs over 16 weeks duration and can be modified due to student time constraints. Course work is via live class participation for both theory and practical assessment. There is an aspect of online activity which allows students to study and participate at their own pace. All assessment is logged within a portfolio which is collated and marked by your tutor. Ongoing tutor support is given throughout.

This is a very informative and enjoyable class for those looking to adopt skills for alternative practice and as an additional skill used as a Complimentary Therapy. 6 Case studies form the main focus for your learning, with the use of specific essential oils in mind. Here you will be introduced to 26 essential oils and 10 carrier oils, all of which are less frequently used in industry. Treatments will be tailor made to suit each individual client. Plant families are discussed looking at their chemical components and their uses in aromatherapy. The nomenclature and environmental issues of plants and trees will enhance your overall knowledge allowing you to practice as a proficient aromatherapist. Demonstration and learning will ensure you are equipped with the skills and knowledge required for practice.
