Massage is used by many therapists within both the salon and clinical setting, in industry and private care. This course forms the first step for those looking to enter the complimentary field of massage. Massage can be found in several forms, however Swedish massage is one of the most widely used, and forms a good basis for adapting new techniques of massage to your repertoire. There are aspects to Swedish massage which will give you the proper grounding for further developing your career.

Carrying out massage is a particular art, taking great skill to becoming an accomplished massage therapist. Along your career path you will find varying massage techniques, however it is important to be able to carry out those basic skills acquired here. Our two-day course will allow you the confidence to use the techniques learned and once you have accomplished the course it is important to put your skills into practice. Massage forms a therapeutic treatment whether it be for relaxation, tired muscles, or rejuvenation. It has been used as a means of therapy since the Roman times and beyond for medicinal purposes along with herbal and essential oils.

You will be observed performing massage to the neck, décolleté, arms, legs, back and shoulder.

Once complete you may wish to further your skills by enrolling onto our VTCT Level 3 Swedish massage course, which will give you further credit towards enrolling onto our more advanced massage courses such as VTCT Level 4 Diploma Massage for Complimentary Therapists or why not try out our VTCT Level 3 Massage Certificate using Pre blended Oils.
