This qualification consists of 8 units at level 5/6 and will provide the learner with the required underpinning knowledge to afford direct progression onto specific modality training at level 6 or 7.

This course encompass the standards outlined by professional and regulatory bodies. This qualification also integrates the professional and regulatory bodies guidelines for skin rejuvenation procedures, emphasising professionalism and health and safety. 

You will complete the following units

 

• Principles of non-surgical aesthetic procedures

• Client assessment for non-surgical aesthetic procedures

• Advanced skin science for non-surgical aesthetic procedures

• Complication management and emergency plan implementation for non-surgical aesthetic procedures

• Provide advanced chemical peels for skin rejuvenation

• Provide advanced skin needling procedures for skin rejuvenation

• Provide needle mesotherapy procedures for skin rejuvenation and hair restoration

• Provide light emitting diode (LED) phototherapy for skin rejuvenation

 

How you will be assessed?

  All evidence is collated by way of a student portfolio which your tutor has access too. Ongoing support will be given throughout the duration of the course. This course involves both live class and home theory learning. Student theory notes, PowerPoint  will be accessed online. Case studies will be completed before external assessments. You will be required to pass all mandatory units.  

 

Entry Requirements

• Students should be 16 years and over

• Student should possess a good command of English

• Student should have a satisfactory level of education

• Pre-requisites  level 4 access to aesthetics or level 4 IPL/laser

• Students should hold or be working towards a Basic life support and anaphylaxis certificate

 

Duration

• 4-5 live class  – 10am – 4pm (depending on availability of models and resources)

• Case studies

• 1/2 day external theory assessment and mock practical assessments

• 1 day external

• Ongoing home study – 10 to 14 weeks duration

• End test external practical assessment

• Level 7 VTCT certificate in Non-surgical procedures (B.Toxin & Dermal fillers)

• Level 7 VTCT Diploma in Non-surgical aesthetics in Injectable procedures (B.Toxin, Dermal filler & Skin boosters)
