The VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Award in Skin Peeling is an advanced therapy qualification aimed at level 3 qualified practitioners aged 18 and over, who wish to add this therapy to their repertoire of treatment offerings.
This is an ITEC examined certificate.
Learners are required to hold a level 3 beauty therapy qualification or equivalent.

Here you will develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to consult and analyse clients whilst providing skin peeling treatments to a satisfactory level. Level 4 courses such as this are highly regarded by employers both in the Beauty and Aesthetic industry.
The course runs over 14 weeks duration, 54days of which are class days and can be modified due to student time constraints. Course work is by way of live class participation for both theory and practical assessment. There is an aspect of online activity which allows students to study and participate at their own pace. All assessment is logged within a portfolio which is collated and marked by your tutor. Ongoing tutor support is given throughout.

Peeling systems covered are Glycolic 1 & 2, lactic acid, Salicylic acid, Jessners, TCA, Mandelic acid as well as other AHA’s and BHA’s used for peeling. Also discussed are those products that are used alongside peels that follow correct skin protocols. Client skin preparation, aftercare and homecare all form part of this course as they play an important part of the skin peel process.

All students will be checked for contraindications and suitability before use. If students cannot partake, a client will be required for the student to work on. Kits should be used at least one week before partaking on the course.

Our tutors have a high level of experience within the Beauty field both in education and industry as well as the medical field and will teach you to the same standards as found in higher education. This coupled with your input will allow you to progress to a level expected for certification.

How you will be assessed?
Theory assessment is through ongoing assignments some of which is done as online student portal. Practical observation takes place by a VTCT/ITEC assessor at the school at some point after completion. All evidence is collated by way of a student portfolio. Ongoing support will be given throughout the duration of the course.

Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology with Level 2/3 Beauty Therapy or Level 3 Beauty Therapy or Level 3 Access to Aesthetics, or Medical background
