The VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Advanced Aesthetic Therapies for skin rejuvenation has been devised to enable those who wish to enter the field of advanced skin treatments. Students who have qualified with level 4 modalities and/or who are beauty professionals holding other advanced skin treatments may hold the prerequisites for entry.
This course will allow therapists to undertake practical elements in chemical peels and skin needling and also starts the journey for those looking to progress in aesthetics as it also focus on facial anatomy. If you wish a career as an employed and/or self-employed beauty therapist or aesthetic practitioner this will allow you to progress to other level 4s and also level 5 aesthetic courses and ultimately level 7.
Entry onto this qualification is one of the following Beauty therapy level 3, HNC, HND or level 3 access to aesthetics

This qualification consists of 5 units at level 4 and will provide the learner with the required underpinning knowledge to afford direct progression onto specific modality training at level 4 or 5
This course encompass the standards outlined by professional and regulatory bodies. This qualification also integrates the professional and regulatory bodies guidelines for skin rejuvenation procedures, emphasising professionalism and health and safety.
You will complete the following units
· Principles, practices and ethical considerations for advanced aesthetic therapies
· Consultative techniques in advanced aesthetic therapies
· Dermatological science for advanced aesthetic therapies
· Provide skin needling treatments for skin rejuvenation
· Provide superficial chemical peels for skin rejuvenation
How you will be assessed?
All evidence is collated by way of a student portfolio which your tutor has access too. Ongoing support will be given throughout the duration of the course. This course involves both live class and home theory learning. Student theory notes, PowerPoint will be accessed online. Case studies will be completed before external assessments. You will be required to pass all mandatory units.
