ESA CERTIFICATE IN GEL POLISH
Develop the skills for carrying out correct procedures for manicure and application of gel polish in 1 day. Preparing your nails before the application of gel is very important, therefore being equipped the right techniques will greatly increase your level of ability. Every therapist should start here before moving onto nail enhancements using artificial nail extensions.
This one-day course is lengthy in order to accomplish all aspects of nail and skin care. Hand and foot courses continue to be popular as for many it has become a regular treatment for many clients. Here you will be guided and observed carrying out the skills and techniques required to enable you to carry out treatments to a professional level. Manicure is much more than filing and painting the nails. It is important that therapists have a general knowledge of the anatomy of the hand, skin conditions and possible infections that can occur.
You will learn how to file correctly according to the clients wishes, sanitation and sterilization methods which play a very important role to avoid cross infection between yourself and your clients. We will look at the various tools, implements and products used and touch on the various equipment that may be used for the application of gel.
Aftercare is also an important aspect to help finish off your treatment successfully and offer the correct advice to your clients. Once complete this course will better equip you for a nail enhancement course for those that wish to make nail care their main staple. Other courses you may be interested in enrolling for are our other ESA courses and/or VTCT Level 2 Beauty Therapy course which will further allow you to enrol onto a level 3 course of your choice.

Exam – is by observation only
Certification – You will be awarded the Erasure Skin Academy Diploma in Manicure and Gel Polish
CPD points – Manicure 22 points; Gel polish 22 points
Entry and progression routes to further education courses – Other ESA courses, VTCT/NVQ Level 2 Beauty courses.
Student requirements – Students to wear suitable comfortable clothing. Long hair to be tied back. Students are required to be prompt to class.
