ESA CERTIFICATE IN WAXING
You will undertake hair removal of body hair through the use of hot and warm wax. This course covers the anatomy and physiology, the health and safety aspects of using wax systems, as well as the contra indications and contra actions. This course is a pre-requisite to undertaking Intimate waxing course.
Waxing for some, forms the only method of hair removal. There are different hair types, patterns of hair growth so therefore waxing may be best suited to particular individuals. Waxing using hot wax can also delay the hair growth which suits those where hair grows more quickly. For some it has become a necessity due to the type of hair and where they wish to have it removed.
You will be observed carrying out waxing to the under arms, half leg, full leg, abdomen, bikini, eyebrow, top lip as well as male chest and back waxing employing the right skills for doing so that meet health and safety requirements. We will discuss all tools and equipment and those best suited to particular hair types and skin, the hair growth cycle. All processes of hygiene play an important role here and will form part of your practical abilities to carry out waxing professionally. Contraindications to treatment and possible contra-actions will be covered as well as aftercare and homecare advice.
From here you can enrol onto our VTCT Level 2 Intimate Waxing course. This advanced waxing course will give you that added confidence in carrying out those tricky areas that are becoming more and more popular. A good skill to have as employers may specifically look for this added skill.
Credit for prior learning will be given to those who have completed our ESA course allowing you to complete advanced classes more efficiently.

Certification – You will be awarded the Erasure Skin Academy Diploma Waxing
CPD points – 30 points
Entry and progression routes to further education courses – Other ESA courses, VTCT/NVQ Level 2 Beauty courses.
Student requirements – Students to wear suitable comfortable clothing. Long hair to be tied back. Students are required to be prompt to class.
DATES
The course runs as an individual 1 day course or as part of the Fastrack ESA Group Diploma in Beauty Treatments.
